Tanja leads an experienced global team of insurance, financing and legal experts who support our internal stakeholders at Blackstone in pricing, structuring and purchasing insurance and similar products for their acquisitions, sales, JV partnerships and M and A efforts.
We provide innovative, cost-effective solutions and value-added services working with our captive, placement and claims teams and multiple broker partners. We collaborate with insurers and others to develop new solutions.
Her 30 years of insurance experience and her international background help her manage the unique requirements of each client and efficiently communicate their needs. She has extensive M&A and captive experience and expertise in a variety of industries.
Prior to joining Revantage, she led the Hylant global risk management practice and was a client executive /Director of international clients at Hylant, Willis and Marsh. Tanja conducted her job from Geneve, Switzerland during 2013-15. She handled large and mid-sized clients’ foreign property, liability, captive and environmental programs. Earlier she worked at CNA, Chicago, where she held underwriting and business development positions. She began her career with Swiss Life in 1996 and was stationed in Brussels and Paris.

Tanja is fluent in Italian, French and conversant in Spanish.
She is a RIMS national member and Chicago chapter Board member. She has been very involved with the Chicagoland risk forum for the past several years leading sponsorship and supporting education, membership and DEI initiatives across a consortium of midwest RIMS chapters.
She is a frequent speaker on insurance issues like M&A, compliance, international, captives, claims management, program structure, cultural differences and the state of the market for RIMS and the regional chapters: Chicago Risk Forum, Ohio, Pittsburgh and Denver, ALB (Association of Lloyds’ Brokers), TMAC (Treasury Manager's Association of Chicago) and AFP (Association of Financial Professionals).
She is on the national and Chicago Chapter Board of the Association of professional insurance women (APIW) and is passionate about encouraging financial freedom for women and minorities and introducing new talent to this amazing industry.
Tanja is celebrating 20+years on the Board of the Association of Lloyd’s Brokers and was the 2011-12 Chairperson.
Education and Accreditations
Tanja is a Michigan State University graduate in Business and French and earned her Master’s in International Business at Thunderbird, School of Global Management- Arizona State University. She has the ARM and CPCU designations.
